Adriana Pielak

Senior Engagement Facilitator

Adriana is one of our lead face-to-face engagement specialists, and is currently managing the engagement and development on NSW’s largest urban renewal project at Melrose Park. She is highly skilled in public participation, leading the design and delivery of quality community consultation for our clients. Adriana uses her background in strategic communications to create unique and effective opportunities for stakeholders to engage.

Adriana graduated from UNSW with a Bachelor of Media, PR and Advertising and is about to complete a Juris Doctor (Law) degree at Macquarie University. She is committed to ensuring every individual is given the chance to share their voice, be acknowledged and respected. Adriana is also certified with IAP2, Australasia’s peak body in Community Engagement, and was a valued participant of the IAP2 Member Value Committee.

Adriana leads the BROOKS Digital Engagement team, not only managing each project’s online presence, but also ensuring all of our engagement projects have an opportunity for the stakeholders to participate remotely on digital platforms. Her knowledge and expertise of the digital landscape has been essential for BROOKS to pivot toward online engagement since the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Adriana was instrumental in the Melrose Park Urban Renewal project, where together with Lance, they facilitated over 2,500 hours of face-to-face engagement with community stakeholders. This significant achievement in community engagement across the industry, also included engaging 25 unique stakeholder groups, 70 individual household visits, 8 community information sessions, and facilitating over 60 community stakeholder meetings. Her dedication to ensuring that all voices were heard and considered in the renewal process was paramount to its success.

In addition to her facilitation work, Adriana is a creative problem-solver, developing and running several community initiatives to improve the lives of those in Melrose Park. The Melrose Park Community Cup, The Meal Share Program during COVID, and the Village Talk Monthly Newsletter were all developed under her leadership and have been well-received by the community.

Adriana's passion for community development and her ability to connect with people from all walks of life have made her a valuable asset to the BROOKS team. Her expertise and dedication to genuine community engagement has had a positive impact on the Melrose Park community, and she continues to be a driving force behind BROOKS' community development initiatives.
